The one north-east of Durgrim, blocking Orin's retreat
Sep 5, 2016 3:35 pm
Durgrim swings at the wolf already wounded by Ujjaya's arrow, dropping it. As he stands up, only one of the wolves making its attacks of opportunity hits Durgrim for another 7 points of damage.

Second round of combat.

Combat Map.

Initiative
23 Veroth
21 Roland
21 Weiryn
19 Darren
12 ??
11 Ireena
10 Orin
7 Ujjaya
2 Durgrim

Conditions and Modifiers
Roland is sickened (-2 penalty on attack, damage, saves, skill checks, and ability checks)

Veroth is up!
Sep 5, 2016 4:06 pm
Veroth steps outside and, raising the short bow, fires at the closet wolf. {Dark icon with purple border.} "Looks dire for dwarfies! he calls out.

Internally, he ponders: This is a bad idea. I'm a strike from the shadows type.

Rolls

Short bow (+7 = +11 -4 into melee) - (1d20+7, 1d6+3)

1d20+7 : (14) + 7 = 21

1d6+3 : (4) + 3 = 7

Sep 5, 2016 4:20 pm
Veroth's arrow strikes true, hitting the wolf and wounding it.

Roland is up next.
Sep 6, 2016 1:46 pm
Roland takes a steady position and prepares to take some important shots. He takes careful measurement of distance. (Range estimated to be 30 ft, range of the double hackbutt is 50 feet, no negatives needed. Also within range of point blank shot feet, adding a +1 to both hit and damage.). Carefully choosing a spot on the wolf in A12 roland lines up his shot. (-2 to hit and +4 damage for deadly aim) He pushes down the sickness in his gut from being touched by the foul creatures earlier, steadies himself and prepares to shoot. (-2 to hit, -2 damage) He controls his breath and carefully takes the shots.
OOC:
attack tracking
both shots against touch ac
both shots into a12 unless the first shot kills, then shot into the wolf in the black 13 space.
-2/+4 for deadly aim
-2/-2 for sickened
+1/+1 for point blank feat

total attack is +7/+2 each for 2d12+3

aside: can someone explain how the sickened thing works, not sure how my guy feeling sick has any effect on the damage a firearm would do? does is still effect ranged weapons? I can see it being harder to hit, just doesn't make sense how me being sick effects damage from a projectile weapon. anyway, if i am wrong and it doesn't effect the ranged weapons damage thant it should be +5 instead of +3

Rolls

Shot 1 hit - (1d20+7)

(12) + 7 = 19

Shot 2 hit - (1d20+2)

(9) + 2 = 11

Shot 1 Damage - (2d12+3)

(83) + 3 = 14

Shot 2 Damage - (2d12+3)

(74) + 3 = 14

OOC:
Sickened affects your physical and mental abilities. You're sick, so you can't fire your weapon as effectively as you normally could. Fatigue from your illness makes your weapon a bit heavier, your eyes a little blurrier, and you can't seem to catch your breath as easily. I'm not sure how it'll affect the damage on a firearm, though, beyond "Well, you thought you hit a vital location, but instead it was merely a flesh wound..."
Sep 6, 2016 3:32 pm
OOC:
Actually, the wolf you're aiming at is 40 ft. away: remember that you are on the second floor where Veroth used to be on the map, that is g7.
Roland fires both barrels of his hackbut, the sound making the wolves and dwarves jump in surprise as they had no idea anyone had such strange weaponry inside the house. One shot hits while the other one misses, wounding the wolf and leaving it bloodied.

Weiryn is up next.

OOC:
I'm sure you did, but if not you need to reduce the damage from the shot that hit by 1 as I did not get the point blank bonus at 40 feet.
Sep 6, 2016 4:15 pm
Weiryn, seeing that Veroth is too close to the action for his original plan, changes tactics. Placing a hand on his amulet, he feels the arcane power stored there has been restored from his recent rest. Chanting and channeling that power, he conjures a Flaming Sphere and directs it to attack and burn the wolf directly behind the fallen dwarf (I guess that would be A14? I dunno.)
OOC:
Using my Arcane Focus ability to cast Flaming Sphere unprepared. 3d6 fire damage if its in a space with a creature, lasts 5 rounds, reflex DC 13 negates damage. And not that it matters in this instance, but the Deathsbane ability chosen is increased duration

Rolls

Flaming Sphere Damage (FIRE) - (3d6)

(144) = 9

Sep 6, 2016 6:51 pm
Weiryn casts a flaming sphere on the wolf behind Durgrim and the wolf deftly dodges it.

Darren is up.

Rolls

Wolf's Reflex save

Sep 8, 2016 10:27 pm
Darren rushes out the back door, hoping to get there before he's too late to help.
OOC:
Sorry about that! Don't know how I missed my turn
Sep 8, 2016 11:04 pm
The wolf with the bloodied piece of cloth ripped from Durgrim in his mouth will make a double move and run away with it, the other wolves will maneuver in order to attack Weiryn, to flank him, with one using the aid another option to help one of the other wolves.
OOC:
Durgrim can go ahead and make a (or many?) attack of opportunity.

Rolls

1st wolf (flank bonus)

2nd wolf aid another

3rd wolf (flank and aid another)

Sep 9, 2016 6:21 am
As the wolf starts to retreat with a piece of his tabard, Durgrim swings his hammer after him with a great heave. "By Torag's holy beard, ye won't be running away with my tabard, ye foul beast!"
OOC:
Sadly, due to his low dexterity, Durgrim did not take combat reflexes, so only one AoO

Rolls

Foehammer (attack, weapon damage, electricity) - (1d20+10, 2d6+6, 1d6)

1d20+10 : (16) + 10 = 26

2d6+6 : (45) + 6 = 15

1d6 : (2) = 2

Sep 9, 2016 2:22 pm
Durgrim attacks the wolf as it leaves. It lets out a yelp of pain, but is still standing as it dives into the mist, still carrying the bloodied piece of tabard in its jaw.

Of the wolves attacking Weiryn, only one manages to hit him for 6 points of damage and then will attempt tripping him. Just like for durgrim, teh wolf trips weiryn and thrashes its head, ripping off a bloodied piece of cloth from Weiryn's breeches, carefully keeping it in its mouth as if it were precious to it...

Ireena will make a double move to give help to Weiryn, and Orin will make a double move to get into the mansion ans to safety.

Ujjaya is up next.

Rolls

Wolf's trip attempt.

Sep 9, 2016 2:37 pm
Ujjaya looses arrows at the wolf that took Weiryn down.
OOC:
• Unsure which wolf it is on the map so did not yet include Point Blank Shot bonus.
• Secondary target is any other nearest wolf.
• Flurry of Blows: +11/+11/+10
• Deadly Aim: -2 attack, +4 damage.
• Perfect Strike: 6/day, must declare before rolling, once/round, as part of attack; roll two d20s for one bowshot, with the lower roll as crit confirmation if the higher threatens.

OOC:
That would be the wolf in d11. Roll your extra damage for your attack which confirmed.
Sep 9, 2016 3:56 pm
OOC:
Looks to me like D11 is withing Point Blank range. If so, that first damage roll should have been 1d8+6 and would have totaled 13 points. Longbow is x3, right?

Rolls

Crit damage - (1d8+6, 1d8+6)

1d8+6 : (3) + 6 = 9

1d8+6 : (6) + 6 = 12

Sep 9, 2016 5:00 pm
Durgrim charges after the wolves, slamming the closest one with Foehammer with a powerful blow. "Take that, wreched beast! And begone! Torag will see you off his earth"

azira sent a note to kalajel
OOC:
It's times like these I wish I had taken Vital Strike!

Rolls

Foehammer w/ Power attack (attack, weapon damage, electiricty) - (1d20+10, 2d6+10, 1d6)

1d20+10 : (7) + 10 = 17

2d6+10 : (24) + 10 = 16

1d6 : (5) = 5

Sep 9, 2016 10:48 pm
Ujjaya will kill his first target with his fist arrow, shooting it in the eye, then shoot his two remaining arrows on the wolf on the other side of Weiry, greatly wounding it.

kalajel sent a note to azira
Durgrim then charge the wounded wolf and finishes it off with a well-placed hammer blow.
