Nora stands in the doorway, her voice paralyzed. While a party of her others her to scream for help, a part that is stronger for now remembers that the landlady's son may be somewhere near and she doesn't want that sweet boy anywhere near what is happening here. With that resolve, she takes a half step back into the room, ready to slam the door shut if needed.

Jack's face turns bright red after two failed attempts to hit this creature, and tries to funnel his anger and embarrassment into another strike with the chair.

There is a flash of blue light as Jack hits Gardiner fully in the back, the spirals carved into his body and arms light up, everywhere except the head. That blow would have taken down a normal man but Gardiner still stands. It turns its attention to Jack.

Meanwhile, there's a loud thud as a large jar of pennies falls from a kitchen cupboard, smacking George in head before hitting the ground. It smashes and pennies go everywhere.

just to clarify, when you say that the dazed effect ends this round, does that mean combat is an option for those of us that are dazed this round or next round? load next
