You head back and to the ledges. Before entering you look down the hallway with rubble. Tomas is able to notice that the rubble comes from the roof and that the whole cave is likely to collapse should anyone cause a disturbance. You will need to prop up the tunnel or risk a cave in if you are to go this way. You leave it alone for now and check out the ledges.

The first one is a small ledge, where you find a few broken javelins indicating that someone once hunted from this spot. More interesting is that among the broken javelins are a 10 javelins in a strange metal later identified as cold iron. The same metal the creature you fought yesterday is weak against. At least you'll be prepared if there's more of them.

You climb back down and head over to the other ledge, it reveals a short tunnel that leads to a small cave. Entering the cave you first notice a large mammoth skull. You realize its bigger than the cave entrance point. On the ground, bones and other offerings encircle the skull. Opposite the skull is a bed of old furs.

Artesia is able to recognize this as a guardian spirit presiding over the cave and that the mammoth have been placed here by Erastil.

Among the offerings you can see a magical rune as well as an udentified elixir and an ordinary steel mirror.
OOC:
The 10 javelins are of low-grade cold iron.

Iroven eyed the mold while listening to Artesia. It was strange indeed, and he nodded to her warnings. When Tomas and Koram suggested exploring the other parts of the cave, he followed them. The caves held unique surprises at every section, and he was astonished to discover the mammoth skull altar to Erastil. He kneeled and prayed to it. Looking around, he said, "These caves show signs of past inhabitants. Did it perhaps house a different clan in the past?"

"Maybe these were our clan, separated long ago?" Tomas shouts back.
OOC:
Can Tomas attempt a recall knowledge on the mold in the other cave? Maybe with Herbalism or Nature?

"That mammoth skull...the creature could not have entered here, the cave walls are too narrow. Nor could it have been carried through by ordinary means. How strange." He looks over the rune and elixir, trying to understand what they might be.
