Jotna looks at the others and says, "Oi any of you lot got a keen eye? Or good with mechanisms? Come take a peek at this and see if it's safe to open, eh?"

OOC:
@Drgwen in your last post it seems you're looking for a second opinion. But your roll is high enough to realize the door is not trapped. Since you said "If she sees nothing suggesting it is unsafe, she tries to open it" previously, I'm going to assume you open it ;)
With a calculated risk, Jotna tries to open the door but finds out it's locked. She rattles it to no avail. The heavy oak is tough as nails.

However, shortly after you hear a few clicks and the door swivels open slowly. A lightly perfumed breeze comes through, reminding you of flowers in spring time. As the door opens, you see a nicely decorated entrance hall of a mansion. Vases with flowers on top of antique tables, intricate rugs, great chandeliers, paintings and all kinds of things you'd expect to see in a mansion like this are visible in the well lit room.

A man in a dark suit, who just opened the door, stands before you. He's got a slim tall figure and an oval face. He is neatly trimmed and well looked after. "Ah, welcome in, sirs and madams." He says as he gestures you to enter.

Those who do, can see the room has a high ceiling with tall windows which allow sunlight in. Which is strange for two reasons. One; You're pretty sure you're underground. Two; There hasn't been a sun like this for a while now. Another thing strikes you as odd. On the left wall as you come in, a large staircase leads up to a second floor. Yet there is no second floor. The stairs simply run into the ceiling and stop there as if they forgot to put in a second floor but decided to build the stairs anyway for no reason.

"Please take off your shoes. Lady Malista doesn't like dirty prints all over the place." He offers you some clean slippers instead.

What does everyone do?

Borda eyes the interior, judging the value of the things he see's. Making a mental note of what to return for, he slips off his worn boots and steps into the offered slippers.

Merkari kicks off her boots, wiggling her toes in the slippers. "Comfy!" she declares. Grinning, she steps inside and looks around the room, thinking nothing of its odd placement underground. "Nice place ya got here! What's the rent like?"

Elma
Elma looks about the place in awe. She wonders if the dreamers she has sent here have really arrived to the same place she has now. As the man offers slippers, she looks down at her shoeless feet and shrugs her shoulders.

"W-why, don't mind if I do."

She visibly relaxes with the warm clean slippers, but still looks around suspiciously. Is there any evidence people have arrived before them?

"I believe the place is not for rent, ma'am" The butler says to Merkari. "But any such inquiries should be directed to the lady of the manor. I am merely the one keeping things in order."

You don't spot any sign of other people having been here. But seeing the surroundings here, there is a good chance that even if people have been through here, any sign of them would have been cleaned up. It does appear they run a tight ship here. Perhaps one of the cupboards might hold the answer.

Borda

You spot many things of value like golden and silver candle holders, fancy paintings and frames, decorations with what could be gold filigree.

Jotna mutters, "Oh great, I fell asleep again. What a weird dream..."

Then, to the butler, she says, "Sure, yeah, I'll play along. So when do we get to meet this Malista lady?" She slides off her flithy, stinking shoes and slides her filthy stinking feet into the slippers with a sigh of comfort.
