When cemos is not sleeping or on duty he spends his time watch over eldreth and tending to her as best he can. He obviously feels a bit responsible for her current condition and he might be beating himself up a bit because he wasn't strong enough to fight the deamon.

Here's what we're gonna do. I've arbitrarily established a watch rotation for each boat. When I check for encounters, if one happens I'll let you know which 8 hour chunk it's in (1, 2, or 3). If you aren't "on watch" at that point, you can choose if you are asleep or awake. I'll additionally put up a post when you make it through a full day. At that point, you guys can choose to take new spells and such and your spell slots will all reset. This isn't QUITE as nice as it should be, but it makes it more manageable. That said...... how's the rest of THIS day go?!

Sea Mother's Grace
Crew: Bildaweer, Cemos, Eldreth*, Francis
Rotation:
First 8 Hours - Bildaweer
Second 8 Hours - Cemos
Third 8 Hours - Francis

Gaze through the Dark
Crew: Fang, Dustin, Shushaar, Georges, Stool
Rotation:
First 8 Hours - Georges
Second 8 Hours - Fang
Third 8 Hours - Dustin & Stool

As you sail on through the darkness, the first shift with Bildaweer and Georges standing watch passes without incident. Cemos and Fang relieve them on their respective craft and make their way through the water ways, consulting charts as necessary to pick their way through myriad passages and off-juts. About two hours into their watch, the Sea Mother's Grace sails just inside of the recommended line for this chamber. A hideous scrape rattles the timbers of the keelboat, dumping those of you in hammocks/beds onto the deck. Cemos, it knocks you on your butt as you grab hold of the low rails to stop yourself from going over. As you rise to your feet and Bildaweer and Francis dart out from the cabin, you all work together and get the ship pushed back into the water. After only a few minutes of continued sailing, you hear a thumping against the bottom of your craft.

OOC:
cemos makes ready a fish javelin.

Can I use that as a spear to poke into the watter?
Jan 22, 2017 3:08 am
I'll say that yes, you could use them that way. How many of the javelins do you have remaining?

Cemos searches through his memories but cannot recall anything about creatures of this nature.

I bang on the cabin to rouse the others and peer into the water to see what's attacking the other boat.

"What, what is going on ?" Dustin tries to see what is happening.

OOC:
I have 2 fish javs and 2 regular javs left.
Jan 22, 2017 5:29 pm
I jump up and down to get Cemos attention. When I know I have it I point down into the water at the creature and shake my head and make shooing and ignoring motions. Then I indicate we should paddle away from it.
Jan 22, 2017 6:08 pm
Dustin gives Fang a weird look but shrugs and starts paddling.

"Did your throat get damaged Fang ?"
Jan 22, 2017 7:22 pm
Cemos nods to fang and heads for an ore and begins to paddle.
Jan 23, 2017 2:41 am
I shake my head at Dustin and give him the traditional Orcish sign for the ward against evil which is a fist with your center finger extended.
Jan 23, 2017 1:48 pm
"What in the hell ?" Dustin shrugs not knowing why Fang flipped him off.

He just focuses on paddling away from whatever is down there.
Jan 23, 2017 2:27 pm
As you all paddle away, you hear gnashing and see the waters churn as a total of 8 manta ray looking creatures break the surface, mouths full of razor sharp teeth. In short order, however, you've pushed beyond them and they, sensing a lack of potential meal, turn and make their way away from you. The remainder of this day's trip passes by without incident. You all settle back into your rotations, taking rest when you can and such. Eldreth and Shuushar remain unchanged.

You have now long-rested. HP/Spell Slots are restored for all and those of you with spells to prepare can adjust your lists.

Dustin shakes his head, "Never thought it would be so wet underground."

Is there any way for me to see if I know what those creatures were ?
