Tonton follows his ears right to the plant and looks to where they have led him. There, in the bonsai tree house, three miniature adventurers look up at him. Tonton can recognize them as the three that ran in to fight the Widow while the others untied him. They look relieved as they finally have gotten your attention. They are tiny and you can see evidence of others now that you are looking. There is a small community within the tree of others that were similarly tricked, no doubt.

Tonton takes a step backward, and shakes his head of the vision. No, it's true, something is in there.

"Your friends! Here!" calls out the rogue, bringing the bonsai's attention to the others.
Jul 7, 2016 1:22 pm
Fēng hears Tonton calling and rushes over. He gasps when he sees the bonsai and the people there. "Urki! We've found Kildrak, Cassandra, and Ai Shan! And others, besides."
Jul 7, 2016 4:47 pm
Tonton backs away from the plant, now that the aarakocra has positively identified the other companions. This development was very unexpected, and somewhat disconcerting. What other magics does Shimazu possess? Time to scout more of the grounds.

The wood elf nods to Feng and leaves the bonsai in his capable hands, while he continues his search through the house.

Fēng peers at the tiny people. "Friends, can you hear me?" he whispers.
Jul 12, 2016 4:34 pm
Big movements of agreement, exaggerated nods from Shan and Kildrak and a big thumbs up from Cassandra, confirm that they can hear Fēng. They confer for a moment and start making exaggerated movements with their arms clasping them together and swinging them from over their head and bringing them down in front of them or out to the side.

Tonton as you resume your search of the building you can hear the voice of the goblin child pleading with Utamuro.

Fēng shakes his head, confused, trying to understand. "What are you...I can't..."

Tonton spends a moment, listening to the goblin children. He turns to the others and gestures to the Widow's body. "It must be destroyed. Or consecrated, I know not which. Lest it come back." With his blade ready, Tonton attempts to sever the Widow's hand holding her sword.
Jul 12, 2016 5:44 pm
Utamuro steps away from the child, patting it gently on the head to show he's a good guy before drawing his katana back out and assisting Tonton with dismembering the corpse. "We can have this... thing... consecrated later, after we're done with our job here."
Jul 12, 2016 5:53 pm
Tonton tips his head over to the goblins, even as he strikes down at the Widow's wrist. "They say she comes back, and consumes them. If she is the type of undead that can reform even when dismembered, we may want to take care of this sooner before she rises at our backs."

He turns to the goblin children and barks a few words.

The tiny adventurers can tell from the confused look on Fēng's face that he is not understanding. They begin to make exaggerated motions with their arms, Cassandra partnering with Shen thrusting her clutched hands toward him and Shen grabbing his abdomen and falling to his knees.
OOC:
Their exaggerated pantomime will negate the disadvantage if you are still unsure of what they are trying communicate.
Utamuro and Tonton begin their grisly task, limbs quickly being detached from the torso, as the child responds.

As the child finishes speaking, Tonton, Utamuro, Fēng, and Urki can hear a great cry come up from outside, closer than they would like. From their position in the hall, Tonton and Utamuro can see a flaming blade pierce the paper walls to the south, setting fire to the exterior panels. The blade hurries out of site around the corner, continuing its fiery journey.

Tonton stops his dismemberment of the body and readies his blade. "The goblins say that she reappears over her old body," he reports, quickly. "Perhaps consecration is not enough. They say that her only fear is of a red stone that was once in the possession of some humans, but she killed them and took the stone."

To the goblins, Tonton asks hurriedly,

"We'll have to find this 'red stone' then. Do the children have any information on where it is?" Utamuro asks before going to see if he can figure out what's wielding the fiery sword.

Tonton quickly relays Utamuro's question regarding the location of the stone, if the goblin children know.

The children all cringe at the cry outside, some of the younger ones wetting themselves and the older ones huddle together quivering. The one that has been helping responds to Tonton.

Utamuro can just barely glimpse the familiar red burning eyes before they are out of view, careening around the building and out of sight. The paper walls quickly catch fire and the room, and building, will soon be a blazing inferno without any intervention.

"It's the Widow, again," Tonton announces. "The stone has been hidden." He looks to Utamuro for his orders.
Aug 7, 2016 5:48 pm
"We must get these children out of here!"
Aug 7, 2016 6:03 pm
"Get the children out first, then we can worry about the Widow," he commands Tonton before working on rounding them up to get them out.
Aug 7, 2016 8:31 pm
Tonton sheathes his sword and steps forward to gather those goblin children that cannot move on their own.
Aug 8, 2016 4:46 pm
Tonton steps forward to scoop up the small child that is unresponsive. Hrog weighs almost nothing in his arms, emaciated and missing limbs. Even though you can see the glow of fear from the fire reflected in their eyes, he others respond to the herding by Fēng and Utamuro.
OOC:
Which way do you go out? The way you came in to the north, the exit to the west where the widow is finishing her circle, or to the south where she originally started though you will have to jump through flaming walls (or some other direction I haven't thought of)?
