Sheila effortlessly disabled the mundane and arcane security, and now the door could be safely opened.
OOC:
Presto still gonna give everything in there radiation poisoning? If so, go for it.Mar 7, 2023 2:19 am
The moment Hank had a chance to even peek into the room, he called upon the magic of his bow to fire an arrow which grew into a wall of bright light to separate them from the golems. "Don't stare into the light!" He called out to everyone.

I was waiting for the Sheila to actually open the door. :P I'll say she did it and then progress us shortly.Mar 12, 2023 7:21 pm

As soon as the door opens, Presto unleashes the spell he's been holding in his mind. The second it's finished, the room is awash with scintillating emerald light. He immediately wants to vomit and ducks around the edge of the door.
"Close it...close the door!"
He waves his hand at Bobby, afraid to speak louder for fear of losing his breakfast. All affected creatures make a DC 21 Constitution save.
Apologies for going silent, this last week or so has been...special.

Presto casts Sickening Radiance.[ +- ] Sickening Radiance
Dim, greenish light spreads within a 30-foot-radius sphere centered on a point you choose within range. The light spreads around corners, and it lasts until the spell ends.
When a creature moves into the spell’s area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, that creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take 4d10 radiant damage, and it suffers one level of exhaustion and emits a dim, greenish light in a 5-foot radius. This light makes it impossible for the creature to benefit from being invisible. The light and any levels of exhaustion caused by this spell go away when the spell ends.

Bobby summons his rage and pushes the doors closed. He braces his shoulder against them, expecting the enemies within to attempt to flee.

Di smiled as her form wisped away like smoke, vanishing from sight. She held her staff at the ready, standing behind Bobby.

Eric lowered his shield that he was behind and thanked Presto and Bobby, reading the shield for what may come next.

The instant Sheila opened the door, Hank fired an energy arrow in and Presto made the floor radioactive! Wisely, Sheila quickly closed the door again. There was no way she or anyone else would want to be in there with the warring types of light assailing the golems within.
OOC:
Whenever any of you make an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, you can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the attack roll or saving throw.Presto and Hank, please roll damage for your spells for 2 turns. The situation will change after that. And notice I've rolled nothing for the canopic golem. ;)
Rolls
Iron Golem Sickening Radiance CON saves - (1d20+5, 1d20+5, 1d20+5, 1d20+5)
1d20+5 : (18) + 5 = 23
1d20+5 : (18) + 5 = 23
1d20+5 : (20) + 5 = 25
1d20+5 : (20) + 5 = 25
Iron Golem Wall of Light CON saves - (1d20+5, 1d20+5, 1d20+5, 1d20+5)
1d20+5 : (18) + 5 = 23
1d20+5 : (17) + 5 = 22
1d20+5 : (3) + 5 = 8
1d20+5 : (4) + 5 = 9

Feeling no resistance from the other side of the door, Bobby looks sidelong at the others. "Did, uh...did we get 'em?"
Mar 19, 2023 3:24 pm
Like Presto, Hank hoped that the light wall he constructed from his arrow would blind those inside or at least distract them enough so that when they entered, their opponents would be softened up somewhat.
Rolls
Wall of Light turn 1 - (4d8)
(7441) = 16
Wall of Light turn 2 - (4d8)
(4152) = 12

"I wouldn't count on it, Bro." Sheila answers Bobby close to him. "Canopic golems are highly resistant to magic except for the most powerful spells and enchantments."

"We have probably only brightened their day with the prospect of punching something disagreeable to their master." quipped a voice in the air.
A diffused radiance emerged and rose like a balloon toward the ceiling.

Sheila's x-ray vision saw the iron golem begin to glow alarmingly while the canopic golem remained untouched by the corrosive wavelengths. Then she saw the canopic golem charge the door!
OOC:
What'll you do, Sheila? I believe you're still at the head of the line.Mar 23, 2023 7:52 am
OOC:
I'm guessing that if Bobby closed the door and is holding it closed, as per C1NDER's post, Bobby is at the head of the line currently.load next
