OOC:
Bildaweer is that supposed to be 3d4 ?
Jan 26, 2017 2:12 am
OOC:
um my bad I was targeting the one that took eldreth. Instead of that can we ret-con and instead I call out to the group to stop the one that is getting away with our companion. Let me know of the spell slot is still burned.
Jan 26, 2017 2:35 am
It's alright to keep the spell slot BFM, it's why I warned about the distance. I figured you wouldn't just use it elsewhere necessarily.

That SHOULD be 3d4, however, the results he rolled with 3d3 still drops the beastie.

Bildaweer's missiles streak out, slamming a final point home into the face of the beast that had attacked him. His final cry struck silent in his throat as the final missile rips his jaw from his face and his body falls to the water, lifeless.

Georges finds his swimmer's legs and takes off after the beast that took Eldreth at Cemos' urging. Using his full action and movement to catch up to the creature, he manages to just barely reach them and get a grip on Eldreth's ankle, stopping the fleeing beast. The creature drops Eldreth who begins sinking under the surface until she hits what must be a sandbar under the surface, leaving just her head above water. The beast bites and claws at the man, missing on both fronts.

The creature by Dustin swings at him once more, missing, likely from the poison burning in his veins.

The creature that Bildaweer had been attacking began to sink into the water.

The creature grappled by Fang tries to take a bite out of the octopus, and misses. His claw, however, grazes the many armed beast, dealing 7 damage.

Fang squeezes on the sharkyman, watching his eyes bulge slightly. You feel like if it had bones, the smaller ones would start cracking.

Which are you targeting Bildaweer? The one Georges has that stole eldreth, the one Fang has, or the one Dustin and Cemos are fighting?

OOC:
How do I get free of my opponent's harpoon? If I Wild Shape will that release me? How far away am I from Eldteth? Can Cemos use his Lay on Hands to remove the effect that's keeping me from speakiing? Am I able to make a save against it?
Jan 26, 2017 3:19 pm
Let's call it a DC15 Strength check and your action to remove the harpoon. I'll still let you take your tentacle attack, since you would only need to devote one tentacle to removing it. Wild Shape would probably release you.

You are 20' from eldreth now.

Nope, Lay on Hands does nothing nor is there any further save. As far as I know of, Lesser Restoration (or a more powerful spell) is the only thing that can remove the effects of long term madness.

Bildaweer's missiles pummel the beast, but it does not yield, though it does look very much worse for wear.
Jan 26, 2017 3:24 pm
Dustin tries his best to finish the beast off. If it doesnt yield to his dagger he will follow up with his short sword though his goal is to get to Eldreth as soon as he can.

(13) + 8 = 21

Magic Dagger Damage, Sneak Attack - (1d4+6, 2d6)

1d4+6 : (1) + 6 = 7

2d6 : (14) = 5

Short Sword Attack - (1d20+7)

(5) + 7 = 12

Short sword damage - (1d6)

(5) = 5

Jan 26, 2017 4:01 pm
Dustin leaps out of the water, in an astounding show of acrobatic athleticism, and brings the drow dagger down into the sharkman's eye. With a twist, the beast shudders and falls. As the creature tumbles to the water, Dustin leaps from its head, making it to the capsized boat. Another leap and dash from there, and he's by Eldreth's side holding her up out of the water as best he can. Francis follows him to help him haul her back.

Georges, meanwhile, has drawn his blade and takes two decisive swings at the creature, both of which bite into the beast's side, holding its attention.

The one grappling Fang makes his attacks. His bite misses, but his claws slam down on one of the tentacles, dealing 11 damage to Octofang.

The beast by Georges responds, slashing at him with teeth and claw. As with the other, his bite misses but his claws find a home, slashing across Georges off-hand forearm, dealing 7 damage (19/26 now).

PCs are up.

Once more, Bildaweer harnesses the mighty power of his missiles and sends them into the sharkybeasts, causing a cry of pain to rise up.
