OOC:
Nekurr's roll comes out to 2 success, 4 advantage. Enough to spot the bird and perhaps glean some of its significance. Knack for It removed some black dice here.
Nekurr musters his faculties just enough to plead with Erfan Eswyse to help rally the villagers, to trust Bruv's plan to get them to the pageant grounds and the wooden structures still found there. The Gnome healer seems a bit unsure how to react to the Catfolk's frightful appearance, but something in the strange creature's eyes connects, and the Gnome nods in agreement. He then begins rallying people to head toward the festival grounds.

As Nekurr continues through the town square, he notices a fluttering dove overhead. The bird alights on the remains of a stone wall at the other edge of the village square. Nekurr's religious training kicks in, and he realizes the bird is now perched on the ruins of what must have been the town's original temple to Aris. And the temple grounds seem, for the moment, to be high and dry.
OOC:
End of Round 1: 11/20 successes. Back around to a PC again. I'll upgrade the next check with a SP (so default of RP).
Apr 6, 2021 3:31 pm
"The bird" Nekurr barks stopping surprised as he points to the original temple's walls. "Good Goddess help"
OOC:
Just RPing the information for the moment so others can use it. Still need to think what to do next :D
Apr 6, 2021 4:05 pm
OOC:
Ok, next check, how about Perception? Just kind of being a spot and trouble-shoot little problems to help things move better. "Whoop there's a kid over there with his foot stuck getting left by his mom. Oh, that old lady can't drag her trunk through the muck, I can help with that. Hey we can use that ladder to help more people get on the ferry, faster, oil take it over there." type of stuff...
Apr 6, 2021 4:22 pm
OOC:
Perception is perfect! Go for it. Remember the upgrade to RP.
Apr 6, 2021 4:51 pm
OOC:
Alright, no skill ranks in it, but again my Augment gives me a stack of greens...

I've still got a Boost from Tronus/SIR, right? Anything else, besides Upgraded Dif?
Bruh strikes out, a bit like a mad man - moving urgently but not chaotically. He goes toward the more distant structures of the village, his head on a swivel, looking for any place where he can help facilitate people who are having troubles.
OOC:
Holy smokes...

GM edit: setbacks for chaos, ground-level perspective.

10 Success, 1 Advantage, 1 Failure, 1 Threat

Total: 9 Success

1 Failure, 1 Threat

Total: 1 Failure, 1 Threat

OOC:
Holy smokes indeed! Adding a couple of setbacks for chaos, being at ground level to the action. Will cause 1 strain for the threat.
Between funneling people to the festival grounds and Nekurr's discovery of the dry ruins of the temple, Bruv looks for any obvious obstacles preventing folks from reaching either location. He notices that the rising waters are carrying with them driftwood, clumps of vegetation, and other debris that might present a risk to people's movement as things continue. But it's nothing some muscle power can't fix...
OOC:
That makes 19/20 needed to save your group. Leaving it to you all if you want to try to remove driftwood with another check or go another direction. I'm thinking Knowledge (Geography) might be helpful for a more strategic view of how to move people toward the safe areas, for instance.

In general, 2 setbacks seems right for most checks, but remember your Knacks for It.

I'll upgrade the next check, as well to RP.

noticing Bruv's working on the debris, Nekurr puts himself together and rushes to help, trying to drill a little army of strong villagers to help

Rolls

discipline

2 Success, 2 Advantage, 2 Failure, 2 Threat

Apr 7, 2021 1:02 pm
OOC:
Nekurr has 2 ranks in Discipline, so upgraded with a Story Point, you should roll YYY. And remember I was upgrading, too, so the negative dice are RP+Blk Blk. Since so many of the dice should be different, I think it's best to just reroll the whole thing.
Apr 7, 2021 2:23 pm
OOC:
Also you have the last round of 1 boost die from my SIR first round.
Apr 7, 2021 2:54 pm
OOC:
damn! sorry, I've defenitly too busy to notice the skills properly :(
OOC:
GM edit: boost from SIR.

OOC:
No worries! I'm happy to let you carry over the AA yellow your originally rolled to net you 1 net advantage. Roll fails, but you can pass an additional boost to the next PC?
With the chaos of the rising swamp, Nekurr tries his best to get his focus back. But it's no good. He's still a bit addled and indecisive. But the effort seems to inspire his allies somewhat, and the day is far from lost!
OOC:
Tronus or Mcneils5?
Apr 8, 2021 1:59 pm
OOC:
McNeils5 can go since he'll have more Boost die, 2 I think.
Apr 8, 2021 2:46 pm
Hildar looks about and tries to figure the best way to get everyone out of here. After considering for a few moments he begins shouting instructions to the villagers, almost lecturing them on how to avoid the worst of the rising waters.
OOC:
Going to try Knowledge (Geography) to work out the best way to guide everyone to safe ground and spending a SP on the roll as well. I don't think we need any more successes but could drop an Advantage on a boost die for Tronus if needed and the rest would go towards making the villagers be more receptive to his instructions (so get them to move quicker)

Everything just seems to fall into place for Hildar — the rising swamp, the flow of the waters, the still-passable paths, the festival furnishings, the ruins of the temple...

He barks out a plan: Everyone should head for the temple ruins. Those who are too far away should grab whatever they can that floats—carts, benches, tables, washtubs, canoes—and head for the temple grounds! Someone needs to get to the ferry and start shuttling people across to the dry ground on the other side!
OOC:
So, opens the door for some other possible actions. Divine to ask for Aris's blessing? Athletics to pole the ferry?

2 boosts to Tronus. Two of those are because the villagers are now moving with more direction and sense of strategy, as Mcneils5 indicated (since we're using extra success to indicate more saved villagers).

22/20 successes. You will all make it, and 2 households are now safe!

Next skill check gets difficulty upgraded to RP.
Apr 8, 2021 7:23 pm
Tronus watches for some time mostly just keeping up. "Aris a bit of help love id be grand... Merchant's Road" Tronus request attempting to tap into the divine assistance of his own deity Gar Vanedi and Aris.
OOC:
2 boost to next PC I guess XD
OOC:
GM edit: Chaos setback.

If the goddess hears Tronus's prayer, her response is muffled in the chaos of the evacuation.
OOC:
Round 3! One more roll each. No need to be stingy with Story Points. Assume I'm using one each time and that chaos and line-of-sight/mobility remain problems (barring uses of Triumphs or advantages):So default difficulties of RP + 2 Blk.

Make 'em count!
Apr 11, 2021 5:24 pm
OOC:
Ok, so for Bruv's last check, I'm thinking I'll use Primal and Conjure an Ally to help in the final push of the evacuation? I'll flip a Story Point for the check.

Sound good?
Apr 12, 2021 2:20 am
OOC:
Sounds perfect for Bruv's character. Something friendly-seeming that wouldn't spook the villagers? I'll upgrade with a SP, as well, as that actually suggests a good use for a potential Despair... :)
Apr 12, 2021 8:45 am
Nekurr, has no luck with the debris but still spots a group of children needing help. He purrs and rolls over, charming the little ones to get them to climb on top of the weretiger so he can get them to safety.
OOC:
Let's story point this one as well :D I'll assume bob will do the same
no set backs because he is furry (knack for it)
2 B from tronus/nekurr combo
OOC:
GM Edit. LOL. I think 3 setbacks is appropriate here, 2 for potential danger, one more black for generalized chaos. Knack for It means only one need be rolled.
